Justin Reid Bohmann

Justin Reid Bohmann was born in San Antonio, Texas September 26, 1979. He was baptized in Emanuel Lutheran Church in Seguin and Confirmed in Peace Lutheran Church in New Braunfels. Our Beloved Justin was taken from us suddenly in a car crash on the morning of June 9, 2014 in New Braunfels.

Justin was a graduate of Blanco High School Class of 1998 and worked as a Journeyman Electrician at CHC Electric. He worked hard, helped others and loved his community, including four counties: Kendall, Guadalupe, Comal and Bexar. Justin was the Assistant Fire Chief at Kendalia Volunteer Fire Department. He was a lifetime member of the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo participating on BBQ, Horse, and Corral Club committees. He volunteered annually for Elf Louise Toy Delivery and was a volunteer for Western 3 BBQ Series.

Justin is survived by his mother, Barbara Achterberg Bohmann, Grandmother Norma Jean Zinkgraf, Uncle James Achterberg , and Justin’s girlfriend Teri McBlain and other family members and close friends. He was predeceased by his father, John Reid Bohmann, Grandfathers Billy Hollowell, Clarence W. Zinkgraf and his Grandparents Elton & Leta Bohmann.

Visitation will be from noon until 9 pm Friday June 13, 2014 and continue Saturday from 8 am until service time at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home, 189 N. Seguin Ave., in New Braunfels. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 pm until 7 pm Friday. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 pm Saturday at the Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will be Sheriff Al Auxier, Constable (Retd) Forres Meadows, David Moore, Buddy Kuhn, Lamar King, and Chris Wollenzin. Interment will be at the Kneupper Family Cemetery in Kendalia followed by a reception at the Kendalia Volunteer Fire Department.
