Marie A. Marino Wayside
Marie A. Marino, 96, of Wayside, passed away peacefully at home. She was born on December 2, 1917 in Jersey City. She lived in Allenhurst before moving to Wayside. Marie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Marie was a graduate of Jersey City Teachers College and Fordham University. She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Deal, where she was a member of the Cartonian Club. She enjoyed many summer s at the Allenhurst Beach Club. Marie was a member of Catholic Daughters of America (Court Holy Spirit) and the Women’s Club of Asbury Park.
Marie was predeceased by her parents, Rose and August DiVona; her sister Edith; and her husband, Anthony N. Marino. She is survived by her children: Anthony Marino, PA; Edward B. Marino and his wife, Lyn, of Toms River; Rosemary Marino of Wayside; Josette Nogueira and her husband, Tim, of Wayside; and six grandchildren: Elizabeth and her husband, Michael; Kathryn, Ricky, Chrissy and her husband, Justin; Emily and Sarah and her great-granddaughter, Juliana.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 11 at 10:30 am in St. Mary’s Church, 46 Richmond Avenue, Deal. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Neptune is private for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arc of Monmouth, 1158 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls, NJ 07712. Buckley Funeral Home, 509 Second Avenue, Asbury Park is in charge of the arrangements.
