“Beloved Mother & Grandmother”

Shirley R. Anzardi passed away peacefully June 5, 2014 at the Cheshire House.
Shirley was born in the Waterville section of Waterbury on May 19, 1926 to the late Flora May Winters Bradstreet Eckert and Marshall Bradstreet.

Shirley was an active member of 2 Episcopal Churches and generously contributed her time and talents to the craft fairs. She was co-founder of the Brooklyn Youth Organization, PTA member, President of the AARP Chapter #2127 and a member of the Waterbury Hospital Evergreen Club. Shirley enjoyed making and donating crafts to the Church fairs, crocheted items to the local hospitals and nursing home facilities. She also enjoyed baking. She was formerly employed at Brucato Manufacturing and Cole Screw as a quality control inspector.

Shirley lovingly leaves behind her family consisting of her son, Steve M. Anzardi and his wife, Josephine of Waterbury, Terry Davies and her husband, David of Illinois, Louis P. Anzardi of Waterbury and her sister, Linda Eckert of West Hartford her granddaughter, Sarah M. Englehart and her husband, A. James, Joshua L. Angelicola and his wife, Karen, one great grandson, Ian Michael, all of Waterbury and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Beverly Marie Miller, Carol Ciccaglione, brother, Marshall “Bud” Bradstreet and former husband, Vincent J. Anzardi.

Shirley’s family would like to express their heart-felt gratitude to the entire staff and all departments of the Cheshire House facility for their compassionate and loving care over the last few years and Seasons Hospice for their attentiveness, spiritual and emotional support.

Arrangements: A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
