“Beloved Husband, Father & Grand Father”

Mr. Charles P. Conant, 72, of Woodbury, passed away Wednesday, June 04, 2014 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Anne Marie ( Varrone ) Conant.

Charles was born in Fort Fairfield, ME on May 13, 1942, son of the late William and Dorine ( Ross ) Conant. He was a graduate of Kaynor Technical High School. He was employed at Cly’Del Manufacturing Company for many years as a Toolmaker until his retirement in 2003. He was a past member of the Waterbury Elks Club #265. He enjoyed woodworking and the outdoors, spending time with his family, but his true love was his grandchildren.

Besides his wife Anne of 51 years, he leaves two sons, Paul Conant and his wife Mariana of Trumbull and Scott Conant and his wife Meltem of New York City, one daughter, Rebecca Butkus and her husband Keith of Northfield, one brother James “Prep” Conant and his wife Joyce of Chester Springs, PA, a brother-in-law, Angelo Varrone of Waterbury, a sister-in-law, Carol Conant of Prospect, nine grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Ross and Rex Conant.

The family would like to thank the VNA Hospice of Waterbury and especially Kathleen Morrow for all her love and support.

Arrangements: Funeral will be held Monday, 9:00 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to Our Lady of Lourdes Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held Sunday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
