Wanda Louise Welch

Wanda Louise Welch, 84, of Borger, passed away, Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in Borger.

Wanda Louise Welch was born April 9, 1930 in Stratford, Texas to Thomas Pierce and Telie (Shipman) Oquin. She married Gib Welch in 1947 in Clayton, New Mexico and was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Borger.

Wanda Louise Welch was preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings, and a son Randall Kent.

Survivors include her husband Gib Welch of Borger; son Jason Welch of Dallas, Texas; daughter Rhonda and husband David Grider of Wake Forest, North Carolina; brother Norman and wife Ann Oquin of Amarillo, Texas; eight grandchildren Jennifer, Jeremy, Joanna, Amy, Emily, Jade, Joshua, and Ian and twelve great grandchildren Ethan, Michaela, Mitchell, Alysa, Dalton, Samantha, Liam, Eleanor, Garrison, Cora, Christian, and Michael.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at First Baptist Church in Borger with Pastor Charlie Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park.

Viewing will be at Brown Funeral Directors in Borger on Monday, June 9, 2014, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, June 9, 2014.

Memorial may be made to Living Water, 103 West 4th Street, Borger, Texas 79007 or Alzheimer’s Association.
