Betty Jean Mohoric, 80, of Centralia, passed away May 29, 2014 at Centralia Providence Hospital with her family by her side. Betty was born in Oakville to Hubert and Helen Neeley on July 8, 1933. She went to high school at Chehalis graduating in 1951. She married Dr. George Mohoric on March 27, 1954. Betty worked as a telephone operator while George completed Dental School at the University of Washington. After he completed school and a short stop in Fife, they moved to Centralia where they raised their family. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Emblem Club, and a devoted fan of the local sports teams, especially the Huskies. Betty was very well known for her cooking especially her expertise at pie making, frying razor clams and a great roaster of BBQ beans. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her friends and family; visiting, bowling, golfing, playing cards, watching a ball game, traveling and spending time at the beach house in Grayland. Her sense of humor and ability to have fun will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert “Hoop” and Helen Neeley; a brother Hubert LeRoy “Roy” Neeley; two sisters and a brother who died in early childhood; Dorothy, Kathrine, and Donald Neeley and her son Dennis Mohoric. Betty is survived by her husband of sixty years George; daughter Melody (Tom) Pfister of Newport, Oregon; son Gregory (LaVerne) Mohoric of Centralia; daughter Michelle (Darren) O’Neil of Chehalis and daughter-in-law Susan Mohoric-Luque of Centralia; seven grandchildren Tyler and Ryan Mohoric; Sean, Braden and Keegan O’Neil; Jonathan and Jonika McMillan; a large extended family and many dear friends. A funeral service will be held at the Centralia Community Church of God (3320 Borst Ave, Centralia) on Friday, June 13, 2014 @ 11:00 am with a reception to follow at the Riverside Golf Course Pavilion (1451 NW Airport Rd, Chehalis).
