Ella Mae Reynolds of Crawfordsville went to meet her heavenly father on the morning of Wednesday, June 4th, at the age of 83.
Mrs. Reynolds worked at a restaurant in Whiting before becoming a homemaker who raised and took care of nine kids. She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Hammond and attended Crosspoint Fellowship in Crawfordsville.
Born January 29, 1931 at Terre Haute, she was the daughter of Harold Payne and Syble Smith Payne. She married Carroll “Buddy” Reynolds on March 17, 1975 in East Chicago. He survives.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her nine children; daughters, Linda Larson, Bonita Dornhecker, Carolyn Lombardo and Diana (Philip) Gutierrez; sons, Daniel (Lin) Engelmann, David Engelmann, Timothy Engelmann, Donald Reynolds and Roger Reynolds, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as two sisters, Lu Vela of Hessville and Doris (Cecil) Palmer of Lillian, Alabama, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, twin brothers, a grandson, Eddie Havener and son-in-law, Thomas Lombardo.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 AM Saturday at Crosspoint Fellowship with Pastor Mark Snodderley officiating. Burial will follow at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be at Burkhart Funeral Home from 4 to 8 PM Friday.
