Barbara was a member of The Morning Dawns Esophageal Cancer Widows Support Group, and was a primary support person who counseled many women through their grieving process.

In 2011 Barbara was responsible for convincing Georgia Governor Nathan Deal to sign a Proclamation that declared April as Esophageal Cancer Awareness Month in Georgia. In her time of grief, she worked tirelessly to get this accomplished to honor the memory of her late Husband Vince. That was our Barb.

Barbara was a passionate supporter of animal rescue organizations and causes. Barbara loved people, and she never met a stranger. She was a vibrant, compassionate, caring person, with a wicked sense of humor. She will be missed by all. Peace to our Girl, forever in our hearts. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 1, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the residence.
