Albert Charles Sartori

U.S. Veteran

Albert C. Sartori, 70, of North Adams died Friday May 23, 2014 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. He was born in North Adams on May 29, 1943, son of the late Frank & Virginia (Spada) Sartori. He was a 1961 graduate of Drury High School, and then enlisted in the Air Force in 1961. Albert worked at General Dynamics until his retirement. Following his retirement, he worked for Elder Services delivering meals on wheels. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 90 in Pownal, VT; the Berkshire Museum Camera Club and the Harold Snow Golf League. Albert was also a long time coach for the North Adams Little League. He leaves his childhood sweetheart and wife of 51 years, Betty (Sweeney) Sartori. He leaves his children, Jodie Botto and husband Scott; James Sartori and his wife Elizabeth Pate; Jeffrey Sartori and his wife Karena; and Joel Sartori and his wife Rebecca; his siblings, Lorraine Gerchak, Beverly Schneider and Dorothea Markland; and 6 grandchildren including Brad, Nick, and Jake Botto, Jordan and Nathan Sartori, and Calder Pate Sartori and many nieces and nephews. Al also leaves behind his beloved dog, Molly. He was predeceased by his brother Francis and twin granddaughters, Brianna and Micaela Sartori.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A service to celebrate the life of Albert Sartori will be held Thursday May 29, 2014 at 4 PM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPEL, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. Burial will be at a later date. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday from 2-4. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elder Services Meals on Wheels Program or the Humane Society of Berkshire County in care of the funeral home.
