Funeral service for Ms. Johnnie Mae Williams who departed this earthly life on Saturday May 24, 2014 will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida with Rev. W. D. Sims, officiating. Cremation will follow.

Johnnie Mae is survived by her closest relatives uncles, Annise Harris, Leroy Strowder, Jr. (Sandra);
aunts, Henry Lee Perkins, Dorothy Ann Strowder, Mary Strowder (Wayne); stepdad, Willie Packer; close cousins, Eddie Scott (Linda), Keith Strowder (Solitaire), JoAnn Reed-Avery (John), Wanda Mingo (James), Edward Reed (Cheryl), Roosevelt Reed (Lavon), Luciana Warren (Bobby), Leroy Strowder, III, Johnny Harris, Venitra Stewart, Alicia Garland (Daryl), Shareka Dooley, Deborah Dooley, Tarrah Perkins (Mark), Kimberly Strowder, Keshawna Strowder, Dartavious Garland, Martea Callaway, Calvin Perkins, Jr., Felicia Scott-Bottom (Milton), Calvina Bostick Sarah Avery, Jasmine Ryan, Dietrich Reed, Darlene Griffith (Jarrod) Richardene Whitaker, Trina Scott, Tennith Scott, Eddie Scott, Jr., Janae Harrell, Cadedra Reed, Erica Reed, Edward Reed, Jr., Shantana Johnson and Chervernica Young; numerous other cousins; half-sister, Joyce Williams (Arvin); close friends, Bernadette Wiggins, Eddie Reed, Sr., Mary James, Vickie Young (Val), Kevin Kirkland (Joni), Rosalind Slaton (Lawrence), Rosemary Hornsby, Verna Cromartie (Glover), Addie Boyd, Bernard Boyd, Henry Henley, Michael Lewis, Dallas James, Lena Williams, Shawn and Derek Williams, LaSheka Thomas, Elaine and James. 

A native of Tampa, Florida Ms. Williams was the only child born to the parentage of Josephine James-Hicks who preceded her in death. She attended the public schools in Hillsborough County until she reached the age of 13. Johnnie Mae later attended the Lavoy Exceptional Center from where she graduated at age 17. 

There will be a viewing on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home.
