Ivan A. “John” Annis, 82, of Neenah, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born February 10, 1932, in Oshkosh, son of Earl and Helen (Casper) Annis. John was united in marriage to Nettie Miller on February 5, 1955, at the First Presbyterian Church in Neenah. He was a United States Army Veteran. John was employed at American Can in Menasha from the time he left the Army until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.

John is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Nettie; his children: John (Peggy) Annis, Sheboygan; Kathryn (Rocco) Lewis, Omro; Michael (Barbara) Annis, Menasha; grandchildren: Nick (Tiffany) Annis, Tim (Vanessa) Annis, Alex Annis, Jordan Annis, Missy (Erik) Malnory, Ashley (K.J.) Flock, Kelly (John) Lewis, Christopher (Nicole) Annis, Brianne (Andy) Wheaton, David (Rachel) Osterling; 8 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law: Frank (Nancy), Don, Paul, Jerry, Violet and Pat Miller; special nieces: Mary Cone and Susan Eppinger; and many other nieces, nephews and other family members.

John was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Laurie; his mother and father-in-law; two brothers and two sisters; and several brothers and sisters-in-law.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at the First Presbyterian Church, 200 Church Street, Neenah, with Rev. Richard Moore officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial has been established in John’s name.

The Annis family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Baum, Dr. Geller and the staff on the 2nd floor of St. Elizabeth Hospital, for their wonderful care and compassion.
