MR. JACK F. GIGLIOTTI, 90, of 22 Marietta St. North Adams, MA died Thursday May 22, 2014 at Springside of Pittsfield. He was born in Fitchburg, MA on April 21, 1924, son of Michael and Lucy (Mancuso) Gigliotti. He attended North Adams schools and graduated from the Peekskill Military Academy of Peekskill, NY, where he attended on a musical scholarship. Jack was a veteran of World War II and served in the US Army in the Pacific. He received the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star Medal. He was employed by the US Postal Service in its North Adams office for 43 years until his retirement in 1989. He was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Jack was a member of the Post #125 American Legion in North Adams and the DAV of Clarksburg. His wife was the former Eleanor Mary (Quirk) Gigliotti who died on November 12, 1997. They were married on April 23, 1949. Survivors include one daughter- Diane Kaiser of Westboro, MA and two sons including David Gigliotti of Pittsfield and Daniel Gigliotti of Tennessee. He also leaves six grandchildren including Christopher Gigliotti, Jaclyn Gigliotti, Jarred Gigliotti, Amy Kaiser, Matthew Kaiser, and Casey Jones; and four great grandchildren including Ava Gigliotti, Chastity Gigliotti, Aurora Jones, and Xander Jones; and one sister- Dorothy Wilhelm of Pittsfield; and nieces and nephews. His sister, Rita Marino is deceased.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Jack Gigliotti will be celebrated Tuesday May 27, 2014 at 9:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA are Monday from 4-6 PM.
