Stanley F. Zebrowski, 91, of Springville, PA, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014, at Geisinger South, Wilkes Barre, PA, after a brief illness. He was born on July 5, 1922, in Duryea, PA, to the late Barney and Stephania (Zoarski) Zebrowski. His wife of 56 years, Mary M. (Banko) Zebrowski, predeceased him.
He is survived by his daughter, Rosemary Zebrowski, Seneca Falls, NY, two sisters, Edna Michael, Ithaca, NY and Helen Grick, Montrose, PA, nieces and nephews.
Stanley loved his hobby of creating beautiful items out of stone to sell and give away; these included clocks, lamps, tables, lamps, coasters, and various other knick knacks. He was a member of St. Joachim’s Church, Meshoppen, PA. Stanley was a WW II Army veteran, landing on the beaches of Normandy during the D-Day invasion. He was well loved by his neighbors and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2014 at St. Joachim’s Church, with Rev. Joseph Manarchuck, officiating. Interment will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Auburn Twp., PA. Visitations will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday evening at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, Montrose, PA. Donations in Stanley’s name can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
