FRAMINGHAM – Dionysia “Soula” Tavitian, age 67 a longtime resident of Lynn, died Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Genesis Healthcare in Milford. Born in Athens, Greece, She was the daughter of the late Kosta and Ekaterini Daniel. She was the wife of David Tavitian of Lynn.
Soula happily worked most of her life as an accomplished seamstress, her true gift.
She enjoyed dancing and the outdoors, loved gardening and growing flowers, along with raising chickens. Soula also had a fondness for birds and cared for numerous canaries.
Besides her husband, Soula is survived by her daughters, Rena Hertzberg and her husband Richard of Franklin and Kathy Sheilds and her husband Dale of Salisbury. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christopher, Brian, Amanda, Deanna, Angela, Kelsey and 7 great grandchildren; her brothers, Mimi, Taso, and Xaralabo Daniel and her sisters Theodora Daniel and Maria Floros.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Monday, May 19, 2014 from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. (Corner of Union Ave.) Framingham, with her funeral service at 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the family lot in Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham.
