Renice Eugene Baker, Sr., 71, of Kearneysville, WV passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Canterbury Center in Shepherdstown, WV.
Born May 31, 1942 in Taylorstown, VA, he was the son of the late Clark Baker, Sr. and Mary Demory Baker.
He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, which he helped build as a young man.
Renice was a master custom carpenter with over 55 years of expertise and an amateur radio operator.
He is survived by one daughter, Melanie Stewart and companion, Howard Tabb of Kearneysville, WV; one son, Eugene Baker and wife, Mary Tribou of Ranson, WV; one brother, Clark Baker, Jr of Taylorstown, VA; ten grandchildren, Timothy Utterback, Cindy Dinterman, Jennifer Barley, Melissa Harper, Brittany Cekada, Christina Baker, Alicia Baker, Beau Baker, Krista Mauk and Darren Baker, eleven great-grandchildren, Tierra Utterback, Noah Barley, Owen Utterback, Nevaeh Harper, Alexys Baker, Gabriella Quinones, Joseph Baker, Jayce Baker, Kaelynn Mauk, Khloee Estep and Emily Baker.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Baker in 2005 and two brothers, Allen and James Baker.
Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, May 19, 2014 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Taylorstown, VA with Rev. Elsie McKenzie officiating. The family will receive friends at the church for visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in Lovettsville, VA.
