GRAHAM - Mr. Jacob Prichard, 89, of 304 Moser Street, died at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at the Hospice Home of Burlington following a brief illness. Born in Alexander County, N.C. to the late Carl Linden Prichard and Minnie Little Prichard, he was a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church, World War II Navy veteran and retired from Western Electric with over 30 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Eunice Averette Prichard, of the home; children, Ken Prichard and wife Robin of Loganville, Ga., Joye Dickens and husband Neal of Burlington, Janet Miller and husband Jeff of Burlington and Jeff Prichard and wife Amy of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Drew Prichard, Kaitlyn Prichard, Clark Dickens and wife Erica, Layna Dickens, Emily Prichard and Jacob Prichard; stepchildren, Trevis Averette and wife Vickie of Sanford, N.C. and Wanda Averette of Texas; stepgrandchildren, Jason Averette and Nolan Averette. Preceding him in death were his first wife, Bobbie Clark Prichard Smith; and son, Robert Wayne Prichard. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home, 1030 South Main Street, Graham, N.C. on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, from 5 until 7 p.m. and at other times at the residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014, at the Glen Hope Baptist Church, Burlington, N.C., with the Rev. Larry Redding, Dr. Terry Prichard and the Rev. Jim Wrenn officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Park with Military Honors. Memorials may be made to Glen Hope Baptist Church, 911 North Ave., Burlington, NC 27217 or the Hospice Home of Burlington, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
