Victor T. Esposito
“Beloved Father & Grandfather”
Mr. Victor T. Esposito, 90, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the VITAS Innovative Hospice Care Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was the widower of Christine (Izzi) Esposito.
Victor was born in Waterbury on July 7, 1923, son of the late Leonardo and Margaret (Greico) Esposito. He served our country in World War II and in the Korean War. He worked as an accountant and as a machine operator for many years. Victor was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church where he served as an usher. He served as treasurer of the Cercemaggiore Club for many years.
Victor leaves behind a daughter, Gina L. Calabrese and her husband Robert of Watertown; three grandchildren, Christopher Calabrese of West Hartford, Nicholas Calabrese of Plymouth and Matthew Calabrese of San Jose, California; four sisters-in-law, Margaret Esposito of Cheshire, Mary Izzi of Waterbury, Mary Santucci of Waterbury and Antoinette Izzi of Waterbury; a brother-in-law, Anthony Santucci, a niece and several nephews. Besides his wife of 60 years, Victor was predeceased by five brothers, Daniel, Genarro, Michael, Frank and Albert Esposito; and two sisters, Molly Spino and Angela Esposito.
Arrangements: Funeral will be held Friday, 8:30 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for a Mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at Old St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
