Chuck was born in Redfield, Kansas and came to Colorado with his parents Kenneth and Lydia (Betty) Chamberlain at the age of 4. They lived in Aurora, Colorado for a short time before moving to Tiger, Colorado. As a child Chuck also lived in Dillon and then settled in Frisco. Chuck attended Summit County Schools and graduated from Breckenridge High School. He then worked for his Dad in Ken's Garage on Frisco Main Street until he joined the Navy and served his Country during WWll. Chuck and his parents were true Summit County Pioneers. In 1947 he married Edith Mary (Sue) Giberson. They lived in Grand Junction, Colorado for 5 years where daughter Mickie Lou was born. They then moved back to Frisco to run the Texaco Station ( formerly Ken's garage) for his Mother. Daughter Peggy Lee was born 2 years later. Chuck was the Frisco Fire Chief and helped start the Christmas light display. Chuck worked for the Colorado Fish and Game Department and the U. S. Forest Service for many years helping build the Swan Mountain road, Heaton Bay, and Peak One Campground's. In July 1970 Chuck married Wanda Ellis. They made their home in Monument, Colorado where Chuck worked until his retirement, for the Colorado Port of Entry. In 2001 they moved to Canon City, Colorado. Chuck loved camping, fishing, and especially 4-wheeling with his wife. Chuck and Wanda lived and loved life to the fullest and were always very much in love. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Wanda, two daughters Mickie and Peggy, step daughter Twila, two step sons Randall and Terry Ellis. Eight grand children: Chris, Veronica, Jolene, Cody, Colt, Josh, Cassidy, and Tyler and seven great grand children. Services will be held at the Evangelical Free Church 3000 E. Main St. Canon City, Colorado on May 30th at 1:00 p.m.
