Frances Riso, one of the world’s most extraordinary women, passed away on Wednesday, surrounded by loved ones. She was a loving wife, caring sister, beloved mother, adoring grandmother and cherished friend. Frances graduated from Pittsburg High School and married Joseph Riso, her loving and committed husband of more than 60 years. Frances was a pillar of Pittsburg’s business community, owning and operating Style Bridal Shop for twenty-five years, a family-run formal wear establishment. Known for her vibrant personality and commitment to impeccable customer service, she made many friends over her long career and helped create thousands of beautiful memories for Bay Area brides. Frances loved traveling, movies, music, playing cards and cooking for family gatherings. Her true joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling her great-grandchildren. Nothing made her happier than to do something for someone she loved. Through her strong connection to her family and community and her generous spirit, she was an inspiration to all who knew her. Frances is survived by her dear husband Joseph; devoted children Francine Wilson of Pittsburg, Vincent Riso of Oregon, Jennice Weger of Twain Harte and Anthony Riso of Antioch. Frances was blessed with and leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Steve Belleci of Pleasant Hill. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Friends and Family are invited to a visitation on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 4:00pm with a vigil 7:00pm at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel.
