Paul F. Bryson

U.S. Veteran

WORCESTER Paul F. Bryson, 87 passed away Tuesday, May 6 at West Side House.

He was born in 1927, was the third oldest child of his deceased parents, John W. and Theresa R. Bryson. He was the surviving brother of the Bryson family who was born and grew up in Worcester Massachusetts. His younger brother Edward R. Bryson and older Brother Rev. John Bryson, SM, have predeceased him. He is presently survived by his five sisters: Mary A. Cashmon, Santa FE, NM,Irene L. Herden, East Haddam CT, Joan H. Tetrault, Rehoboth Beach, DE, Maureen T. Rawding, Falmouth, ME. and Virginia F. and William White, Dennis, MA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Paul has been a long time Resident of the West Side House of Worcester MA . He returned to Worcester, MA after many years in various parts of the West and East Coast.

He originally left Worcester after graduating from St Peter’s High school and joined the US Navy in 1944. He served 2 1/2 years on active duty and was honorably discharged. Upon return to Worcester MA, at various times, he pursued further and sporadic interest obtaining education by varying attendance at Worcester Junior college and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Paul has always been extremely quiet and reserved. He has resided at West Side House; he has been well liked by the staff and other clients. He was supportive of the staff at all times particularly whenever problems occurred. The family has appreciated the continued concern and care given to Paul throughout these many years.

The Funeral will be held Tuesday, May 13 from CALLAHAN-FAY AND CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of Saint Paul, 15 Chatham Street. Burial at Saint Luke’s Cemetery, Westborough. Visiting Hours are Monday, May 14 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, any donations may be made to the West Side House Residence Activities Fund, c/o West Side House, 35 Fruit Street Worcester MA 01609.
