Leonard L. Malotte, Sr.

Davis-0Miller Funeral Home, Lincoln, MO

Leonard L. Malotte, Sr., age 71, of Lincoln, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014, at the Lincoln Community Care Center in Lincoln, MO.  He was born on November 9, 1942, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Elvin Lee and Evelyn Garrett Malotte.

He grew up in Kansas City, KS and in 1961, he was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Capps.  Unto this union, six children were born.

Leonard was a self-employed carpenter and floor man.  In 1989, he moved to Tightwad, Missouri and for many years owned and operated Leonard's Hardwood Flooring.

He was a member of the Ozark Tabernacle Church near Cole Camp, Missouri.  He was a true believer and follower of his maker.  Leonard enjoyed fishing and camping with his family.

He was preceded in death by one son, Loren Malotte, a grandson, Issac Malotte a great-granddaughter, Destiny and a sister, Rebecca Malotte.

He is survived by two sons, Larry Malotte of Lincoln and Leonard Lee {Gil} Malotte, Jr., of Windsor, three daughters, Lee Ann Malotte of Tightwad, Lisa Malotte of Windsor and Laura Ward of Lincoln, his mother, Evelyn Greathouse of Lincoln, a sister, Nancy Williams of Windsor, 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services and Interment for Leonard Malotte, Sr., will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 9, 2014, at the Lincoln Cemetery, with Rev. Johnny Medlock, officiating.  Family will receive friends at 1:00 P.M., Friday, at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home, Lincoln, MO.  Arrangements entrusted to the care of Davis-Miller Funeral Home, Lincoln, MO.
