William Cecil Bernard, born in Cleveland County, near Hyco, Oklahoma to Riley Monterville Bernard and Georgia France Bernard, April 7, 1922. His family moved on a farm near Tecumseh in 1929. Early in life he broke horses and was in the Army in World War II. In his younger years, after the war, he worked in the oil fields. Cecil drove a big truck cross country for 10 years. All of his later years consisted of training horses, mules and as a Farrier, while raising seven children. Cecil had one son by his first marriage. He had two brothers, two sisters and a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a few great-great-grandchildren. Cecil is survived by his wife, Sue Bernard. Visitation will be Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Darryl Wingo of Farrall Church Of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
