Memorial Services for Sonny Beach will be 10:00 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the First Baptist Church, Waynoka, Oklahoma, with Rev. David Shaw officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka LLc.

Lawrence Wilford "Sonny" Beach, son of the late Lawrence Francis and Lorraine Glessner (Johnston) Beach, was born October 11, 1918, in Waynoka, Oklahoma, and passed away January 26, 2014, at Mooreland, Oklahoma, at the age of 95 years, 3 months, and 15 days. Sonny was cremated at his request and services will be at a later date.

Sonny graduated from Waynoka High School with the Class of 1937. On December 24, 1943, he was united in marrriage to Marcella Joice Harris in Waynoka. He worked as a Mechanical Clerk for the Santa Fe Railroad until his retirement. He also worked as an electrician.

He was a member of the Waynoka First Baptist Church. As a member of Waynoka Masonic Lodge #422, he served as Secretary for many years. He had just received his 70 year pin.

Sonny is survived by his wife, Marcella, of Waynoka; two sons, Kip Alan Beach of Waynoka, and Rex Alan Beach and wife, Lajoy, of Mooreland; one daughter, Christine Keenan and husband, Roger, of Weatherford, Texas; four grandchildren, Marc Simms and wife, Jennifer, of Superior, Wisconson, Joshua Keenan and wife, Kristy, of Ft. Worth, Texas; and Jaden and Jon Marker of Mooreland; other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Woodward Regional Home Health and Hospice.
