Phillip Brian Hallenbeck, born on December 11, 1961, passed away on April 27, 2014 at the age of 52. He is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Joseph Hallenbeck. He is survived by his wife, Joynelyn Hallenbeck; children, Ian Brian Hallenbeck, Scott Lawrence Hallenbeck, Ashleen Anina Hallenbeck and Addison Bryce Hallenbeck; sisters, Andi Oettinger and husband, Don, and Judy Hallenbeck; numerous extended family and friends.
Phil was a patient, caring and very generous person giving unconditional love to everyone. He was devoted to his faith and in the Lord. He had a strong work ethic, and had a passion for art which led to his career as a graphic artist and broadcast designer. Being employed for 28 years at KENS 5 gave him the opportunity to make life-long friends.
He enjoyed playing the guitar and listening to music. He also liked going to the gun range and practice shooting in his spare time. Phil was very stoic and persevered despite his illness. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. in the Hillcrest Funeral Home Chapel.
Family and friends will meet on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at St. Brigid's Catholic Church, 6907 Kitchener St. SAT 78240.
