Vincent Polizzi, 96, affectionately known as “Vince the Barber” passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014.
Born October 27, 1917 in New York City. He was the son of the late Salvatore and Catherine Polizzi. Vince was a Veteran of the US Army. He owned and operated the Parkway Barber Shop in Ewing for over 50 years.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife Catherine Papa Polizzi; brother of the late Catherine Bertolami, Peter Polizzi and Phyllis Bonacci; he is survived by his devoted son Salvatore J. Polizzi and his wife MaryAnn; his grandchildren Toni Ann Kaloustian (Rob), Cathy Hasselbach (Steve), Vincent Polizzi and Gina Polizzi; his great-grandchildren Ava Marie and Sophia Kaloustian, Nate and Adriana Hasselbach; his siblings Agnes Polizzi and Francis Messina; his special sister-in-law Lucia Maruca and brothers-in-law Emilio Papa, Anthony Papa (Joanne) and sisters-in-law Virginia and Connie Papa; he also leaves behind many dear nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 11:00AM at The Church of St. Ann 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
Relatives and friends can call on Wednesday morning for Vince from 9:30-11:00AM in the daily chapel at The Church of St. Ann.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
