Latham – Charles D. Tillman, Jr., 79, died Saturday, April 19, 2014, at the Samaritan Hospital in Troy, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Syracuse, son of the late Charles and Loysell Abbott Tillman, he has resided in the Capital District since 1971. Charles served in the US Navy Reserves from 1953 until 1956. A licensed plumber, he was president of Ross Court Plumbing in Albany. He was a communicant of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Albany and a member and past president of the former Albany Licensed Plumbers Association.
He is the beloved husband of Barbara Scull Tillman; devoted father of Charles (Vicky) Tillman, III of East Greenbush, Burke (Christine) Tillman of Esperance, Andrew (Lori) Tillman of Nassau, John (Susan) Tillman of Guilderland and Marcia (David) Dowen of Green Island. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass to be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Albany on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.
