Donna M. Generose, 69, of Hazleton passed away Tuesday afternoon in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton.
Born in West Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late John and Adeline (Basinski) Yesenofski.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Lawrence Generose; daughter, Heather Busch and husband, Thomas, Bethlehem; son, Gary Generose and wife, Marci, Berwyn; grandchildren, Taylor and Paige Busch; sisters, Jean Shenko, Marion Tomanchek and Janice Nemeth and her husband, Thomas; and brother, Bernard Yesenofski and his wife, Jayme.
Donna graduated from West Hazleton High School in 1962, and was an active member of their class reunion committee. She was also a member of Good Shepherd Church, Drums.
She was employed as advertising manager at Berger Family Dealerships, following a long career at the Hershey Co., where she retired as a production supervisor after also serving the company in a number of other leadership roles.
Donna was an avid artist, and both a member and student at the Hazleton Art League, where she won awards for her colored pencil drawings in recent years. She also enjoyed playing the piano, traveling, walking and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from Fierro Funeral Home, 26 W. Second St., Hazleton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Church, Drums.
Friends and family may also call Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
