Stephen J. Abromaitis
“Beloved Brother, Uncle & Friend”
Mr. Stephen J. Abromaitis, 60, lifetime resident of Waterbury, passed away suddenly Friday, April 11, 2014 at his home in Naugatuck where he has resided for the past year.
Stephen, an avid outdoorsman, was born in Waterbury on August 15, 1953, son of the late Stanley and Barbara (Domaszewicz) Abromaitis. He graduated from Kennedy High School, Class of ’71 and attended Central Connecticut State College. Over the years he was an employee of Timex Manufacturing, Fleisher Finishing Co. and the Republican American.
He leaves behind two brothers, James Abromaitis and his wife Debra of Unionville and Robert Abromaitis and his wife Carol of Clifton Park, New York. In addition, he leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews, Jason Abromaitis (fiancé Ann Strother), Tim Abromaitis, Amanda Hladik (husband Justin Hladik), Greg Abromaitis (wife Lauryne Abromaitis), Doug Abromaitis (fiancé Brittany Boles) and several other very special relatives and friends.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be held Saturday, April 19, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. A prayer service will be held at 12:30pm on Saturday during the calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you take the time to remember the simple things in life and perform an act of kindness for someone less fortunate than yourself as Steve had done throughout his life.
