The beautiful life of Lucille Francis Nelson-Hill, loving daughter of the late Carrie Payne and Thomas J. Payne, ended at Mary Washington Hospital on April 5th 2014.  She was preceded in death by her late Husband, Frederick C. Nelson, two brothers Elwood and Thomas “Sonny Boy” Payne and a very close friend the late Mary “IB” Bridgewater.

 Lucille Nelson-Hill was born on August 1st 1927 in Stafford Co. Va., and attended Stafford Co. Public schools. She was a registered nurse at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg Va. for several years before retiring as head registered nurse at the Naval Hospital in Quantico Va.

Lucille Nelson was member of the Little Forest Baptist Church in Stafford Va. under the leadership and direction of Rev. Nelson Snead.

She leaves to morn, her husband James Hill of Stafford, one loving son and her primary caregiver, Frederick P. Nelson (Jr) of Upper Marlboro Md., one sister in-law Mildred O. Loftin of Stafford, one brother in-law Edgar A. Nelson of Stafford, one step grand-daughter Andrea Brown of Forestville Md., three great grand-children, eight step children, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 11 to noon on April 17th 2014, at the Little Forest Baptist Church in Stafford, Va.  The home going service will be held beginning at noon at the church where the Rev. Nelson Sneed will be officiating. Interment will be in the Nelson-Hill Cemetery in Stafford.
