Joseph Carlos Aguiar, 75, of Bedford, NH, died April 6, 2014, at Community Hospice House, after a brief illness.
Born in Madeira Island, Portugal, on January 17, 1939, he was the son of Jose and Maria J. (Ornelas) Aguiar.
During the Vietnam War, he served with the United States Army.
Until his retirement, he worked at Pepsi-Cola Company for thirty-two years. Later, he worked part time at Sylvester Industries.
He was a communicant of Saint Elizabeth Seton Church.
Joseph was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed attending his grandson’s hockey events and taking trips to Foxwoods.
Family members include his wife of fifty-four years, Claire (Chalifour) Aguiar of Bedford; his son, David Aguiar and his wife, Heidi, of Chester; his grandson, Jason; his brother, Joseph Ramiro Aguiar and his wife, Carolyn, of Hooksett; two sisters, Cecilia Olivier and her husband, Jean, of Raymond and Teresa Smith of Goffstown; several aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services: Following cremation, a committal service will be held Saturday at 11AM in the mausoleum at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Goffstown Road, Manchester, NH.
Encryptment in the mausoleum will follow.
