Coral E. Marbaugh, 82, of Liberty Township, died at 6:26 p.m., Friday, at the CHP Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born on April 11, 1931, in Ohio City, the daughter of the late Cecil Calvert and Florence Lillian (Shindeldecker) Taylor. On June 10, 1952, she married Mark Warren Marbaugh who died on March 1, 1986. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter.
Family survivors include her three children, Bradley (Audrey) Marbaugh, Candy (Michael) Smitley-Taylor, and Karen (Anthony) Reinhart all of Van Wert; two brothers, Gaylord L. Taylor of Van Wert and Maurice C. (Shirley) Taylor of Ohio City; ten grandchildren, Clint, Rex, and Virginia Marbaugh, Lisa Hundley, Michael Smitley, Jacob Smitley, Sarah Rollins, Rachel Sollman, Luke Reinhart and Jodie (Travis) Ellerbrock; 21 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Coral was a 1949 graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School. She was thirteen when she started work as a telephone operator in Ohio City. She was Liberty Township Clerk-fiscal officer for over 53 years, retiring this past October at age of 82. She enjoyed sewing and did craft shows for 22 years.
There will be a graveside service at 10 a.m., Tuesday, at the Ohio City Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday 2 - 8 p.m., at Cowan & Son Funeral Home.
