Margerette Jean Waibel Rader, 69, of Ilwaco, died on April 1, 2014 in Seaside, OR.
She was born on September 24, 1944 in Oklahoma City, OK the daughter of Robert and Ella Mersch Rader. She came to Portland, OR in the early 1950’s, where she graduated from Jefferson High School, and then to Long Beach, WA in the early 1970’s. She had worked over the years as a bartender, a caregiver, and in her later years as a demonstration person at Costco. Her memberships included the Order of the Eastern Star where she is a past Worthy Matron, the Peninsula Pool League, the Eagles, and the Elks Lodge. Her special hobbies and interests were painting, pool, and crafts of all types.
She is survived by her sons Jon Koski and his wife Joanne of Seaside, OR and Ron Person and his wife Laurie of Portland, OR; parents Robert and Ella Rader of Ilwaco, WA; brothers Robert Rader and his wife Charlotte of Centralia, WA; and Rodney Rader and his wife Christine of Tri Cities, WA; and her sister Trina Goulter and her husband Jim of Ilwaco, WA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Tanner and Austin Koski, Velvet, Amber, JR, and Shaun Person.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 12th at 11:00 AM at the Masonic Temple at 205 Spruce Street in Ilwaco. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Order of the Eastern Star.
