Robert John Howard, 64, of Glens Falls passed away Tuesday, April 1 at St. Peters Hospital.
Born April 19, 1949 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Jean (O'Pray) Howard and Donald C. Howard Sr.
Bobby was an alumna of Glens Falls Senior High and for many years Bobby worked at his father's printing shop, "Don Howard Printing", in Glens Falls. He also worked, many years, for Hilton Piano while, in recent years, he was a self employed musician and entertainer.
In 1977 Bobby married Mary Linda (Strough) in Glens Falls.
A family man, Bobby loved to spend time playing cards with his sisters, especially Skipbo. He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren; they brought him so much joy.
Bobby had a genuine love of music that ran through his blood. Music was his world. He was a composer, producer, and artist who enjoyed playing the piano. Bobby's musical legacy spans over 5 decades. He was most known from behind a keyboard, organ or piano and was destined for greatness! Bobby recorded several albums including one titled, The Fatman, as he was nicknamed and known to many. Bobby played with several professional artists including, Randy Travis and multiple local bands and musicians. He donated much of his time by volunteering to play local benefits, and charities, including recording a song with local friends and musicians for a local Vietnam Memorial wall.
Bobby was a former member of the ELKS Lodge #81 and was also their organist for several years. He was also the church organist for the Faith Tabernacle Church in Glens Falls.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was predeceased by his sister, Carol.
Those left to treasure his memory are his wife, Mary Linda Howard; his children Meaganne (Garrick) McCandess, of San Francisco, California, Jessica Howard, of Troy, and Rachael Howard, of Glens Falls; his grandchildren Stash, Tyson, Kayla, Mariah, Brianna and Linneaus; his sisters, Donna (David) Farr, of Ft Edward, Patricia (Thomas) Sullivan, of Glens Falls, and Marlo (Reggie) Peters, of Ft. Edward; his brother Donald (Evelyn) Howard II; aunts and uncles, David and Jackie Howard and Patricia Slavin, of Queensbury; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 8 at the Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m., at the funeral home, with Reggie Peters, officiating.
A Burial will be held later this spring.

The family wishes to send a special thanks to Robert's Special Friends; Harpo, Clutch, and John Eisenhart for many great years of support, friendship, and laughs. Also, a special thanks to Danny, and to Margo; who looked to Bobby as her mentor.
