HARRY DE REGO, 93, PASSED AWAY PEACEFULLY ON SATURDAY, MARCH 30, 2014, AT A LOCAL HOSPITAL. HARRY WAS BORN IN THE HAWAIAN ISLANDS ON JUNE 1, 1920, TO JOHN AND HADDY DE REGO. HARRY WAS  PROUD AMERICAN, AND DURING WWII HE SERVED ON LIBERTY SHIPS IN THE MERCHANT MARINES. HARRY WAS VERY HANDY WITH HIS HANDS, AND THROUGHOUT HIS LIFE USED HIS SKILLS IN VARIOUS CAREER OPPERTUNITIES. HE WAS AN AUTO MECHANIC FOR OVER 35 YEARS, AND IN CONSTRUCTION BUILDING HOMES HE WAS ALSO VERY SKILLED. HE WILL BE MISSED BY NOT ONLY BY HIS FAMILY, BUT BY MANY FRIENDS AND ACQUAINTENCES. HE IS SURVIVED BY ONE SON, ROBERT DE REGO OF PARADISE, DAUGHTERS KAREN ARAGON OF PARADISE, PATRICIA STEVENS OF MAGALIA, AND IRENE DE REGO OF COLORADO, SISTER BARBARA HAYS OF MAGALIA, BROTHER CLYDE DE REGO OF CALIFORNIA, EX-WIFE ELAINE OSTERMAN OF ELK GROVE, CA., FIVE GRANDCHILDREN, AND NUMEROUS GREAT GRANDCHILDREN. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE IS SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY, APRIL 7, 2014, IN THE PARADISE CEMETERY AT 2:00 P.M. WITH MILITARY HONORS PRESENTED BY THE PARADISE VETERANS COUNCIL FIRING SQUAD. THOSE WHO WISH MAY  LEAVE COMMENTS OR CONDOLENCES ON THIS SITE ABOVE.
