HOMER RAY WALKER, WAS BORN TO WALTER AND STELLA WALKER ON MARCH 23, 1930 IN ELIZABETH, ARKANSAS. HE PASSED ON TO HIS HEAVENLY HOME ON MARCH 23, 2014 IN PARADISE. AT AGE 15 HE AND HIS FAMILY MOVED TO CALIFORNIA TO TRY AND FIND A MORE PROSPEROUS LIFE. HE WAS EDUCATED AT MODESTO HIGH SCHOOL AND MODESTO JR COLLEGE IN CALIFORNIA, AND BAYLOR UNIVERCITY IN WACKO, TEXAS. HE SERVED HIS COUNTRY IN THE COAST GUARD FROM 1951-1954. HE WAS CALLED TO BE A PASTOR, AND HE PASTORED FOR OVER 20 YEARS, SERVING IN WACKO TEXAS AND THREE OTHER CHURCHES IN THE VISALIA, CA AREA AND ALSO IN ORLAND.

HE WAS A SKILLED CARPENTER AND COULD DO EVERY PHASE OF HOME BUILDING. RESTORING VICTORIAN HOUSES WAS HIS FAVORITE. IN 1954 HE MARRIED LYNN AND THEY WHERE BLESSED WITH FOUR DAUGHTERS. HE REMARRIED IN 1989 TO JOYCE "JOE" BAKER AND THEY LOVED TO TRAVEL AND DID SO EXTENSIVALLY. SURVIVERS INCLUDE HIS WIFE JOE, FOUR DAUGHTERS, PAM AND HER HUSBAND DAVE, BEVERLY AND HER HUSBAND RICK, EVELYN AND LINDA, ASLO STEP DAUGHTER DEBBIE, 12 GRAND CHILDREN, 3 GREAT GRAND CHILDREN, A BROTHER LOYD AND HIS WIFE NORMA, AND MANY NIECES, NEPHEWS, AND COUSINS AND THE MOTHER OF HIS CHILDREN LYNN IS STILL ALIVE.
