Patricia Ann Guffee

Funeral services for Patricia Ann Guffee, 84, of Flower Mound, formerly of Fannin County, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, Mar. 23, 2014 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Chaplain Mark Posey will officiate. Burial will follow in Mulberry Cemetery. Patricia passed away Friday morning, Mar. 21, 2014 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Flower Mound.

Patricia was born July 15, 1929 in Sherman, Texas, the daughter of Andrew Jackson Burns and Anne D. Duvall Burns. She was a graduate of Sherman High School. Patricia married Ellis Guffee in Sherman in 1946, and he preceded her in death, Mar. 9, 1964. She was an artist and worked in porcelain and ceramics. Patricia owned and operated a ceramic shop in Whitewright for a number of years. She was a former resident of Ector and the Mulberry Community of Fannin County. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Dorothy Lynn “Dottie” Guffee (Oct. 10, 1965), a brother, Andrew Jackson “Andy” Burns and a sister, Paula Jean Wade.

She is survived by son, John Ellis Guffee of Flower Mound, Texas; daughters, Donna Sue Myers and husband, Lee of Sunray, Texas, Deborah Ann “Debbie” Birdsong and husband, David of Canton, Texas, and Judy Kathleen Guffee of Flower Mound, Texas; five grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
