William Charles Brady

U.S. Veteran

Petty Officer First Class William C. Brady, U.S. Navy Retired, 64, of Roseville, originally from Marine City, Michigan was called home to his Lord and Maker on Friday, March 14, 2014 in Kingston, New York. He was born March 16, 1949 in St. Clair to the late Roger & Flora (nee Arpan) Brady. He served his country honorably for over 20 years in the U.S. Navy. Bill was stationed afloat on the USS Yellowstone, AD-21; USS New Jersey, BB-62; USS Mahan, DLG-11; USS Mahan, DDG-42; USS Julius A. Furer, FFG-6 and USS Canisteo, AO-99. He was stationed ashore at NAF Detroit, NAF Jacksonville, NAS Key West and NAS Sigonella. Bill also was a welder and worked for several companies during his working career. He worked for Mechanical Fabricators in Marine City, MECO Fabrications in South Carolina, Millens Steel and Rothe Steel in New York. Bill then went on to drive truck for several years. And, through all this he found time to fish, one of his favorite past times. He is survived by his two sons, William C. (Julie) Brady, Jr. and Wayne (Sheila) Brady; two grandchildren, Zachary and Taylor; a brother, James Brady and his children, Angie, Matthew and Daniel. In addition to his parents, Bill was also preceded in death by a brother, Roger Brady, Jr. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2014 in Bower-Rose Funeral Home, Marine City. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Marine City. Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the Algonac VFW Post 3901. The Family invites you to worship with them at the regular 10:00 a.m. service this Sunday at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Marine City.
