Mr. Fuller was born December 11, 1930 in Manchester, GA the son of Homer and Susie Moody Fuller. He presented himself two months premature and weighing only one pound and eight ounces. To give you an idea about his size, his grandfather held a silver dollar up to his face and it covered his eyes, nose and mouth. He had to be held on a pillow and fed with a medicine dropper because his mouth was so small he couldn't be nursed. To keep him warm, irons were heated by the fireplace, wrapped in towels and placed around him. They were constantly rotated out with irons borrowed from neighbors. He's been very active and blessed with good health all of his life until several years ago. He served in the Korean War as a medic from 1950 to 1954. He was a retired self-employed carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Gladys Lanier, Mary Kate Bass, brothers Charlie “Buddy” Fuller, James Fuller, and Alton “Tink” Fuller.
Survivors include his daughter Amy (Norris) Johnson of Woodbury, sons Jim (Melanie) Fuller of Columbus; Mike (Ginny) Fuller of Phenix City, AL; Shawn (Misty) Fuller of Columbus; sister Merle McDearis of Manchester; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
