Robert A. (Bob) Grugle, 56, of Queensbury, passed away peacefully at home on March 6th with the comfort of his family by his side. Bob was born in Euclid, Ohio, the son of John and Arlene (Smith) Grugle. He was a graduate of Arapahoe High School in Littelton, Colorado. After graduating from Cornell University, Bob began his career in banking. In 1999, Bob earned an advanced degree from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware. Bob was employed by TD Bank where he served as the Small Business Relationship Manager until his recent illness. Bob was a dedicated Rotarian and served as president of the Middleburgh Rotary. Until recently, Bob was both treasurer and a board member of the Glens Falls Rotary. He enjoyed golfing, camping, running, spending time with his family and annual trips to Florida. Bob loved the New York Yankees and was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns; a passion he shared with his son. Bob is survived by Kim, his loving wife of nearly 27 years and his two children, Peter (Lauren) of Sandusky, Ohio and Alison of Queensbury. He is also survived by his parents, John and Arlene Grugle of Clifton Park, his sister Kathryn (Scott) Wolf of Connecticut, his mother-in-law, Eleanor Kallan, sister-in-law, Kay (Donn) Collins, and brothers-in-law, Tom (Susie) Kallan and Tim (Bonneda) Kallan. Bob was the beloved uncle of Elizabeth and Carolyn Wolf, Mallory and Nicholas Kallan, and Wyatt and Sloane Kallan. He is also survived by his aunt, Nancy (Jack) Cammarn of Ohio and numerous cousins. Bob’s paternal grandmother, Hildegarde Franz, his maternal grandparents, Milton and Edith Smith, and his father-in-law, Thomas Kallan, preceded him in death. Calling hours are on Monday, March 10th from 5-7pm at the Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home in Queensbury and on Tuesday, March 11th from 10-11am. The funeral service will be held immediately following Tuesday’s calling hours. Bob’s cousin, Reverend Dan Cammarn, of Wadsworth, Ohio will officiate.
