Mildred Carr, age 96, of Electra, Texas passed away March 5, 2014 in Electra Health Care.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, at Bible Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Mildred was born August 22, 1917 in Frederick, Oklahoma to the late James Franklin Cochran and Lillie Mae Carter Cochran.

She and Willie Amos Cook were married February 8, 1935 in Electra. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1955. She then married Allan David Carr on February 28, 1959 in Holliday, Texas. He also preceded her in death on January 18, 2001. Mildred moved to Electra in 1984 and was a homemaker. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church. Mildred loved going to the Senior Citizens Center for lunch and enjoyed visiting with all her friends.

Her favorite pastime was camping with her husband and enjoyed meeting other family members on their trips.

Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Moore of Electra; two sons, David Carr and wife, Freddie of Yosanky, Texas and Larry Carr and wife, Pam of Cleburne, Texas; one sister, Bernice Walker; nine grandchildren, Sherry Ali of Electra, Terry and Edwin Stevens of Electra, Leland Moore of Electra, Darrell and Nora Moore of Electra, Brian Carr and wife of New Braunfels, Cindy Maskel of New Braunfels, Jimmy Carr of Cleburne, Jamie Delaney of Cleburne, and David Carr and fiancé, Trisha of Cleburne; seventeen great-grandchildren and thirty-five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, J. Lynn Cook in 1942; one granddaughter, Tracy Lynn Parish on January 30, 2007; one brother, Chester Cochran in 1996; and one sister, Velma Walker on January 30, 2009. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Tanner Alaniz, David Carr, Jimmy Carr, Darrell Moore, Leland Moore and Edwin Stevens. The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310.
