Mother, Lacy Mae Collier,81, of Rockford departed this earthly life Tuesday, February 25, 2014 after a short illness. She was born the 24th day of July nineteen hundred and thirty two in Ellaville, Georgia to the late Pernola Westberry-Millirons and Son Thomas. She was educated at Schley County school system in Georgia. She received Christ at a young age. Lacy married Henry Collier in Ellaville in 1950. Lacy moved to Rockford in 1972 coming from Moultrie, GA. She was employed as a bus driver by the Rockford Board of Education for 15 years before retiring. Lacy was a member of Browns Temple Church of God in Christ, serving as a Mother of the church. Lacy leaves to cherish many loving memories, three daughters, Linda Collier, Elaine (Dale) Theobald and Paula (James) Hallden-Collier; daughter in law, Connie Collier; four, sons, Robert (Cheryl), Bruce (Rosalind), Kelvin (Evelyn), and Roger Collier; 33 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren; devoted friends Arletha Sanders and Pastor Curtis Walker; a host of other beloved relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, husband and four sons, Henry, Curtis, Stanley and Ray Collier; daughter, Rose Collier and grandson Dwayne C. Buchanan. Services will be held 11:00a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014 at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church 2919 19th Street. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery.
