Wilma L. “Toot” Copeland, of Rockford departed this earthly life Sunday, March 2, 2014 in her home surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 7, 1955 in Dorena, Missouri the daughter of Roy and Nina Williamson. Wilma lived in Rockford since 1978 coming from Mound City, IL. She was a member of The House of God Church. She attended school in Missouri. Wilma, leaves to cherish many loving memories, daughter, Jerri Copeland; son Marcus (Tracy) Copeland; seven grandchildren, Teranie, Donquez, Xzavery, Dieshanek, Tenoah, Tanaisha, and Marcus Jr., two great grandchildren, Donquez Jr., and Zaniyah; two sisters, Williestene Williams and Daisy (Stan) Dismuke; brother Johnny Williamson; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special nieces, Wanda Franklin and Samantha Cole; and special friend, Ronald Taylor. She was predeceased by her parents, seven brothers, and three sisters. Services will be held 2:00p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014 at House of God 840 Brooke Rd.
