Cecil Capps, 79, of 6603 Princeton Kenly Rd. Princeton, died Sunday morning at Liberty Commons Rehabilitation Facility in Benson. He was born September 14, 1934 and was the son of the late Samuel Montague Capps and Helen Gould Hill Capps. Mr. Capps served his country in the Army. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, February 18th at 7:00 pm in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home in Princeton, with the Reverend Dennis Pollock and Reverend Dwayne Batten officiating. Committal Service will be held Wednesday, at 2:00 pm in the Oakland Heights Cemetery in Smithfield.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Daughtry Capps, daughter, Susan Copeland and fiancé Ron Chappell of Raleigh, son Monty Capps and wife Ann of Wake Forest,and two granddaughters, Samantha and Jessica.
Although flowers are welcome, the family suggests that Memorial Contributions may be sent to the Foundation for Shackleford Horses at shacklefordhorses.org.
The family will receive friends beginning at 5:30pm until 6:45pm and immediately following the funeral service.
