Marilyn Mitchell Smith Age 77, of Malvern, passed away Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014 in her home. She was born July 15, 1936 in East Canton, Ohio to Lester and Dorothy (Harter) Mitchell. She was employed by Diebold and the Jackson School District and was a secretary for the Minerva First Christian Church for 18 years. She was currently a member of the Louisville First Christian Church. She was a graduate of East Canton High School and also a forwarding agent for the African Christian Missions of Howard Crowl. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert Smith, whom she married May 14, 1960; 3 children, Cynthia Smith-Roepke of Cape Coral, FL, Sandra Smith of Louisville and Dwayne Smith of Port St. Lucie, FL, 3 grandchildren; Alexandra Tucci of Louisville, Courtney Roepke of Cape Coral, FL and Andrew Tucci of Louisville, and 2 brothers; Richard and James Mitchell both of East Canton. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Mr. Rick Brown officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Calling hours will be Thursday 6-8 pm in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Louisville First Christian Church, the Sharon Christian Church in West Palm Beach, FL or the African Christian Missions-Howard Crowl.
