A memorial mass will be celebrated for Terry D. Chute, 71 of Newark on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edward The Confessor Catholic Church, 785 Newark- Granville Road, Granville with Monsignor Paul P. Enke, celebrant. Private burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Junction City, Ohio.
Mr. Chute died Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. He was born May 11, 1942 in New Lexington, OH to the late Arthur and Martha (Murray) Chute.
For over 20 years he has been a partner in the Sentinel USA, Inc. He retired in 1991 from the Newark Air Force Base. He was a former Prudential Insurance agent. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. He received an Associate Degree in Accounting from Central Ohio Technical College. Terry was also a licensed Private Pilot and Flight Instructor. He was very active in the St. Vincent DePaul Society for over 20 years. He was a member of St. Edward The Confessor Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Diana C. (Wright) Chute; children, Julie A. Chute, Brian (Brooke) Chute all of Newark; grandchildren, Lindsay McDaniel, Isabella Wood, Marlee Chute, Quinton Chute; great-grandchildren, Laken Atherton, Gage Atherton; sisters, Ann Wallace of Pickerington, Judy (Gary) Stevenson of New Lexington, Patricia Reed of Marysville, Rebecca (Thomas) Spohn of Junction City, Kris (Troy) Wilson of Dublin; brothers, Don (Nancy) Chute of Collierville, TN, James (Linda) Chute of Marco Island, FL, Robert “Robin” (Kathy) Chute of New Lexington, Scot (Martha) Chute of Marysville; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Tom (rose) Wright of Granville, Paula (Kenny) O’Hara of Somerset, Leasa (Kevin) Walters of New Lexington, Sheila (Jim) Sites of Junction City; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Beth, Charlene and Jeff.
