Linda Kay Boring
Linda Kay Boring, 66, of Kingwood, passed away at home on January 29, 2014 peacefully with her loving family by her side.
Linda lived in Kingwood for over forty years and was very involved in her community. While her children were growing up she volunteered in their classrooms and served on the PTA board. Linda was a member of Eagles Club 2391, VFW 892, and New Heritage CEOS. She held several offices in each of these organizations. She owned Lindy’s T-Shirt Shop which made t-shirts for various teams, offered car license registration, had arcade games and pool tables.
She is survived by her husband, William R. Boring; three children, Christy Cox, William Gordon and his wife, Missy and Jeremy Gordon; six grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley and Amber Gordon, Cade Wolfe and Jordan and Autumn Cox; her mother, Lois Stratton and sister, Bonnie Bary and husband, Tom and special relatives, Louann Price, Joyce Voegli, Myrna Williams and Myron Moen.
Linda considered her family to be her greatest accomplishment. She cherished and was completely devoted to her children and grandchildren. Her happiest moments were when her family gathered at her home or at Big Bear Lake. She loved to play all kinds of games and was fiercely competitive.
A memorial dinner will be held at a later date, at the VFW, for family and friends to honor Linda and the happiness she brought to all those she loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to Hospice Care Corporation, PO Box 760, Arthurdale, WV 26520-0760.
