Ruth Hannah Cade, age 88, of Lawrenceville, Ga. formerly of Athens died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 at her home.
Born July 2, 1925 in Athens County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest & Gladys Porter Schuler.
A 1943 graduate of Athens High School, she had worked at McBee Corp. and at Ohio University as a secretary in the Food Service department. She moved to Ft. Myers, Florida in 1980.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph E. Cade; a son, Dennis (Joyce) Cade of Cumming, Ga.; two grandchildren- Kendra Cade of Alpharetta, Ga. and Summer (Chip) Chapman of Huntington, WV; six great grandchildren- Austin, Breanna, Kyle, Kobe, Courtney and Evan; a great, great grandchild, Azalea.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Cade; three sisters- June Hoeningmen, Betty Ann Murphy and Billy Hislop; two brothers- Jimmy Schuler and Porter Schuler.

Funeral service will be conducted Thursday 1:00pm at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Lynn Miller officiating. Burial will be in West Union St. Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8pm at the funeral home.
