Nellie Bake, 86 of Somerset passed away Sunday February 2, 2014 at the Jean Waddle Hospice of Lake Cumberland Care Center, she was born February 28, 1927 in Bronston, KY to the late David Wesley and Ella Mae East Hollars. Nellie is survived by two daughters, Stella Jean (Larry) Aker and Shirley Lynn (John) Pittman both of Somerset, KY: one sister Shirley Jean Hollars Mason of Mt. Pulaski, IL; also surviving are four grandchildren, Brandy Walters, Brandon Pittman, Carlie Pittman and Kayden Pittman. She was preceded in death by a son James Ellis Price; a grandson, James Ellis Price Jr.; seven brothers, Ralph, Roy, Raymond, Allen, Willie, Starling, and Richard Hollars: three sisters Ida Mae Hollars, Hattie Luken, Maude Hancock. Nellie worked as a C.N.A, at Cumberland Nursing and Rehabilitation. A Graveside service will be held at Somerset Cemetery on Wednesday February 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. William Brown officiating with burial to follow in the Somerset Cemetery. The family of Nellie Baker will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday February 5, 2014 at Pulaski Funeral Home. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
