Hollis Morgan "Papa" Cluck age 89 of Lebanon died Jan. 26, 2014 at his residence. Born March 22, 1924 in Norene, he was the son of the late John Morgan and Ruth Clemmons Cluck. He was preceded in death by his brother, Denver Cluck and sisters, Doris McConnell, Estelle and Ethelle Cluck. Hollis was a graduate of Watertown High School and Nokes Business College. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army, Medical Detachment, 135th Infantry Regiment, 34th Infantry Division (Red Bulls) during the Italian campaign. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge and Bronze Star. He retired after 36 yrs from the Veterans Administration in Murfreesboro and was an avid farmer. Hollis is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Arrington Cluck; children, Rosemary (Carlton) McPeak of Lake City, FL, Martha (Lynn) Cozart of Watertown, John (Gail) Cluck of Lebanon, Holly (Ed) Spears of Lebanon, Melody (Ronnie) Green of Louisville, TN, Tammy (Pat) Dorsey of Clarksville; 18 grandchildren, Katie, Clayton and Charlie (Charlotte) McPeak, Patty (James) Ellis, Jamie Cozart, Kim Rodgers, Chris Cozart, Lacy Oglesby, Robin (Chris) Bringhurst, Jennifer (David) Harmon, Starr Spears, Isaac, Hannah, Mary Ellen, Jacob, Benjamin and Andrew Green, Sarah Dorsey; 12 great grandchildren, Jay and Kristen Ellis, Tyler Sadler, Kaitlyn Rodgers, Alexis Cozart, Levi and Emmalee Bringhurst, Abbie Oglesby, Morgan, Cody and Joshua Harman, Gabriella Spears; great great grandchildren, Anthony and Braedyn Ellis; brother-in-law, Bob McConnell; nephews, Daryl, Haryl and Daren McConnell. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014 at Hunter Funeral Home with Ronnie Green and Carlton McPeak officiating. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. till service time on Wednesday. Interment at Wilson Co. Memorial Park in Lebanon. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Gentiva Hospice for their love and care.
