Dana Sundbeck of Bulverde, Texas gained final victory over breast cancer on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 when she entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She was born October 24, 1950 in Temple, Texas to Tommy J. and Juanita H. Moseley. She grew up in Elgin and received her degree in education from Southwest Texas State University. She taught in the Elgin ISD and at Bracken Christian School in Bulverde. She was a long time member of Northeast Bible Church in Garden Ridge, Texas where she once serviced as a children’s Sunday School teacher and various other behind-the-scenes capacities.
Dana will be remembered as a loving, devoted and faithful wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt and dear friend by all who knew her. She demonstrated her gift of mercy in many ways, but especially in caring for her parents in their latter years. Her sweet and gentle spirit attracted others to confide in her listening ear. In her years in battling cancer she took advantage of the opportunities to share her faith with the many people she met since contracting the illness
Dana joins those who have gone before her in death, her parents, one preborn child, and a host of family and friends. Her physical presence will be missed, but we will be forever reminded of her gentle and gracious spirit. Dana and her family would like to thank the many people who have faithfully prayed for her these past few years. Your prayers have been answered.
She is survived by her husband, Carlton of Bulverde, her daughter and son-in-law, Keelah and Brandon Wagoner of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, her brothers and sister-in-law Larry and Rebecca of Elgin, Jay of Fort Worth, step mother-in-law Gladys Sundbeck of Austin, nephews Christopher and Carson Moseley, and Hunter and Connor Sundbeck.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Northeast Bible Church in Garden Ridge, Texas. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at Evangelical Free Church Memorial Garden Cemetery.
